ImaginAb’s platform technology enables the rapid engineering of intact antibodies into fragments optimized for imaging.
Target binding regions from the intact antibody are attached to small protein scaffolds to create minibodies and cys-diabodies. These retain the binding affinity and specificity of the intact antibody while exhibiting pharmacokinetic properties ideal for in vivo imaging using Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), and optical imaging.

Our imaging agents offer better in vivo performance compared to intact antibodies:
- Same or next day imaging: Rapid targeting and clearance allows for imaging of patients soon after administration. Decreased serum persistence reduces background, creating more powerful images.
- High target specificity: Our engineered antibody fragments maintain bivalent binding of the intact antibody for superior target specificity.
Non-immunogenic: Our engineered antibody fragments do not provoke an immune response, which allows for repeat imaging in patients. This allows for monitoring response to treatment and disease progression.
We are also developing next generation protein scaffolds with pharmacokinetics that can be easily modulated depending on desired targeting properties. This offers an extension of our technology to allow for more advanced tailoring of the in vivo properties of our imaging agents.
